Over 30 years of excellence in Bharatanatyam and classical dance education.
Every art form has a beginning. At Aambady Dance Academy, that beginning was not just a step—but a lifelong devotion to tradition.
It started with a young girl who found her identity in rhythm, expression, and discipline. That girl grew into Smt. Radha Anilkumar (Valli)—a dedicated artist whose journey in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, and Kathakali would later inspire generations.
With years of rigorous training under renowned masters and a deep-rooted understanding of classical arts, she envisioned a space where tradition would not fade—but flourish. That vision became Aambady Dance Academy, now recognized as a leading Bharatanatyam dance academy in Trivandrum, Kerala, and Ajman, UAE.
From its early days, Aambady was never just a dance school. It was a gurukulam of learning, where every student was guided with patience, discipline, and personal attention.
Here, students do not simply learn movements—they experience the soul of Bharatanatyam through adavus (basic techniques), abhinaya (expression), rhythm, and stage performance. Each step is taught with precision, ensuring a strong foundation rooted in tradition.
As the years passed, the legacy expanded.
Her daughters, Meera Krishna and Lakshmi Krishna, grew up immersed in this world of art. Today, they carry forward the same dedication as accomplished dancers and teachers. With Meera leading the Ajman branch in UAE, Aambady has evolved into a globally connected academy offering Bharatanatyam classes in India and online dance training worldwide.
What makes Aambady unique is its strong classical foundation enriched by the influences of Kathakali and Mohiniyattam, bringing depth and cultural richness to every student’s journey.
Over the last 30+ years, Aambady Dance Academy has trained numerous students who have earned prestigious recognitions such as Balasree Award and Kerala Kalathilakam, along with success in performing arts, film, and television. Many have completed their Arangetram (debut performance) under expert guidance, marking a defining milestone in their artistic path.
Today, students from diverse cultures and countries come together at Aambady, united by a shared passion for classical dance. Whether learning in Trivandrum, Ajman, or through online Bharatanatyam classes, each student becomes part of a legacy that continues to grow with grace and authenticity.
Aambady Dance Academy is not just about learning dance.
It is about preserving tradition, building discipline, and expressing stories through movement.
And for every student who walks in, the journey begins the same way—
with a single step… rooted in tradition.
At its core, the double “A” motif represents Aambady, forming a strong and distinctive visual identity. The structure of the symbol subtly resembles a chariot, symbolizing movement, journey, and cultural heritage—much like the journey of art passed through generations.
At the same time, the form also evokes a butterfly, representing transformation, grace, and artistic expression. This dual imagery reflects both strength and beauty, grounding the brand in tradition while embracing evolution.
The green color signifies deep roots in Kerala, highlighting a connection to nature, culture, and authenticity. It conveys growth, harmony, and the richness of classical arts.
The red dot placed above stands as a mark of boldness and focus. It draws attention to the center, symbolizing energy, confidence, and a strong artistic vision.
